Founding partner of Dr. Widmer & Partners, attorneys-at-law, Berne, Switzerland, a commercial law firm specialising in IT, Internet and Telecommunications Law. Lecturer in IT and Internet law at the University of Berne and lecturer in Information Security Law at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ). Former member of the Swiss Federal Data Protection Commission and also of the Advisory Board of the journal Datamaster. Board member of the German Foundation for Law and Information Technology (DSRI), Vice President of the Information Security Society Switzerland (ISSS) and Past President of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw).
